Richard and Frank started Lodi Welding in 1964 with a passion of ironwork and a fine appreciation of works of the past. Lodi Welding unique skill and strong knowledge of the trade started in Antwerp Belgium and was brought to The United States when the family owned business opened its doors in Lodi NJ.  Since then, the company has grown and expanded with each and every unique project it has taken over the years.  Currently it is operating with the third and forth generation blacksmiths (Donald and Richard Buschgans). “Oddly enough, blacksmiths come from both sides of our family” says Richard. Our focus is the creation, recreation and restoration fine metal works. Lodi Welding is one of the few company’s that works in all metals! We continue the old tradition with the hammer, anvil, and forge by keeping the craft handmade.
“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
